The Eurocontrol electronic AIP (eAIP) specification offers a standard way to display AIP content on screen. It is mandatory in the European Union since January 2020, in compliance to EU Regulation 2017/373. It is a means of compliance of ICAO Annex 15, 16th Edition.

Editing an electronic AIP with an XML editor

Training objectives:

  • To be able to write an eAIP document (including AMDT, SUP and AIC) following the eAIP XML document structure (DTD)
  • To be aware of the underlying technologies and publication process

Publishing an eAIP with GroupVerve/CADAS-EPS

CADAS-EPS is a software product distributed by Frequentis-Comsoft GmbH and originally developed by the company Synclude under the name GroupVerve. Frequentis-Comsoft has decided to stop selling this software, but a number of AIS organisations still use it to produce their AIP.

  • To be able to work in a team editing eAIP documents
  • To be able to work with multiple work packages
  • To be able to publish parallel AIP AMDTs (AIRAC and regular)
